Product introduction
Arduino Leonardo is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega32u4. It has 20 digital input/output pins (7 of which can be used as PWM outputs and 12 as analog inputs), a 16 MHz crystal oscillator, a micro-USB connection, a power jack, an ICSP connector, and a reset button. It contains everything you need to support a microcontroller; Simply connect it to your computer using a USB cable or power it with an AC-DC adapter or battery to get started.
What makes Leonardo different from all previous motherboards is that the ATmega32u4 has built-in USB communication and does not require a secondary processor. This allows Leonardo to appear as a mouse and keyboard ona connected computer in addition to a virtual (CDC) serial /COM port;
